Cazenove Capital is delighted to sponsor team ExeEndurow in their ambitious bid to become the youngest-ever team to row non-stop and unsupported around the mainland of Great Britain (GB).
The team has embarked on the famous GB Row challenge to raise public awareness and funds for their chosen charities: The British Red Cross, to support the response to COVID-19; and the environmental charity JustOneOcean.
The team set off from Tower Bridge on 5th July 2020 rowing all day and night in an attempt to complete a marathon rowing race around the coastline of the British Isles. Only four boats have ever successfully finished the course, with the last one to do so taking 27 days.
As well as sharing ExeEndurow’s commendable principles of excellence, teamwork and passion, Cazenove Capital fully supports the causes that the team’s fundraising efforts will benefit.
Jonathan Money, Portfolio Director and Team Manager, Wealth Management at Cazenove Capital commented:
“It’s inspiring to see four students with no previous rowing experience take on this formidable challenge that has only ever seen 14 successful finishers. We wish team ExeEndurow every success in their record-breaking attempt and wholeheartedly support their worthy charitable cause.
“Reflecting these charitable commitments, our commitment to sustainability is at the heart of what we do as a business. As an active investment manager, we play an important role in engaging with our investee companies on a variety of environmental issues including on the reduction of their single-use plastic footprint.”
