Cazenove Capital strengthens commitment to the Midlands with new Birmingham office

Birmingham, London, 21 March 2022

Cazenove Capital, one of the UK’s leading wealth management businesses and part of the Schroders Group, today announces the opening of a new office at 2, Chamberlain Square, Birmingham, to support its expanding Midlands client base.

This new office provides Cazenove Capital with a local hub from which to offer locally-informed, personal advice to clients across the Midlands, continuing its longstanding and deep-rooted relationships with the region’s entrepreneurs. Based in a newly re-invigorated part of the city, the office is well-positioned to service business owners at the forefront of the region’s economy in sectors ranging from manufacturing to life sciences, e-commerce and technology.

The office is equipped to support a full hybrid working environment as the UK embraces a more flexible approach to work in the post-pandemic economy, and in line with the framework set out by parent company Schroders in its Flexible Working Charter.

Cazenove Capital’s Midlands team is headed by Dave Price, who has 27 years’ industry experience and a deep knowledge of the local area. Prior to joining Cazenove Capital’s Birmingham team in January 2021, Dave was the Midlands Regional Head for UBS and was also a part of the team which established Credit Suisse’s Private Banking Midlands office. Dave is supported by eight other local wealth management specialists who can provide the full range of Cazenove Capital’s investment, wealth planning and lending services to clients across the Midlands.

The move is a continuation of Cazenove Capital’s regional growth strategy focused on building the business’ on-the-ground presence across the UK’s major regional hubs. Since January 2021, the business has deepened its presence in Britain’s economic hubs through high-profile strategic hires in Birmingham, Bristol and Edinburgh.

Dave Price, Head of Midlands Region, commented: “As home to, almost a sixth of the UK’s population, close to 650,000 vibrant companies and several leading UK universities, the Midlands is a significant economic hub, with numerous entrepreneurs, families and individuals able to benefit from Cazenove Capital’s expert advice.

“We look forward to using the new office in Birmingham as a springboard to continue deepening our long-established relationships with clients in the region and to building new ones.“

Karan Sejpal, Team Head responsible for Business’ Owners and Entrepreneurs, and the UK Regions commented: “Business owners and entrepreneurs are the engine of British economic growth and innovation. The Midlands, in particular, is home to several, notable success stories in recent years, reflecting its attractiveness as a place to start and develop a business.

“The outlook for the region is very exciting, with events like the Commonwealth Games bringing much needed tourism to the area, infrastructure investment deepening Birmingham’s connection to London, and the energy transition providing ample opportunity for graduates to leverage the region’s manufacturing and industry expertise to create transformative technologies and products.”

Mary-Anne Daly, Chief Executive at Cazenove Capital, said: “We are delighted to announce the opening of another office in a key regional hub which demonstrates our commitment to supporting clients UK-wide.

”We are committed to bringing personalised, meaningful wealth management services to our clients across the UK. We strongly believe there is an opportunity to help current and future business owners with their ambitions, and Cazenove Capital is expertly placed to meet these needs.”
