Cazenove Capital, the wealth management businesses of Schroders, is delighted to announce that its Charity focused Sustainable Multi Asset Fund has surpassed £2bn in client investments1 – their first £2bn charity fund and the fastest growing charity fund in the UK over the past five years.
Cazenove Capital’s charity team launched the fund six years ago with the aim of setting a benchmark for sustainable investment best practice, alongside strong financial performance and positive impact on people and planet. The fund provides charities with a simple, cost-effective way of aligning their investment objectives with their charitable aims.
Tom Montagu-Pollock, Co-Head of Charities at Cazenove Capital, commented:
“We are delighted that the Charity Sustainable Multi-Asset Fund has passed £2bn for the first time on behalf of over 420 Charities, Endowments, Foundations and Universities.
We have seen continued momentum in the number of clients committed to our sustainable strategy and are proud that the Fund has been the fastest growing UK charity fund since 2019, with our dual objective of accelerating capital into sustainable and impact investments, while generating strong financial returns for the beneficiaries of the investing charities resonating strongly.
Thank you to all of our clients, the Advisory Board and friends who have supported us. We are really excited about the continuing prospects for the Fund.”
The Fund has a long-term, rolling ten-year, financial objective of Inflation +4% p.a. net of fees2. The Fund offers both distribution and accumulation units. The distribution units target a smoothed total return distribution of 4% a year2, paid 1% per quarter.
The Fund is structured as a Charity Authorised Investment Fund which is regulated by both the Charity Commission and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). It is also monitored by an Independent Advisory Committee which gives investors an extra layer of governance.
To hear more about the Fund, Cazenove Capital are hosting an update on Thursday 11th July at midday where the investment philosophy, performance, current views and positioning in light of those views, will all be discussed. We will also highlight some of the findings in our latest Sustainability and Impact Report.
[1] As at 20 June 2024.
[2] Target income of 4% is not guaranteed.
